Four Airport Authority (AA) staff formed a team to participate in the MTR Hong Kong Race Walking 2011 in Central on 10 April. A total of $15,000 was raised by our team for medical service and health education for the community.

The Airport Authority (AA) co-organised a carnival with Tuen Mun Healthy City Association on 7 April 2010.

The AA co-organised a carnival with Tuen Mun Healthy City Association on 7 April 2010. The carnival featured guest talks on health tips, a drama performance, an exhibition on mental health, etc. It was a great event for everyone to understand that good health often starts with being in the right mood.

The Airport Ambassador Programme

In January 2010, the AA staff ran in the Community Chest Corporate Challenge. A total of HK$50,000 was raised to support community services for the elderly, provided by the social welfare member agencies under the Community Chest.

AA staff members showed their support for Community Chest with endurance in a race up the 88-floor Two ifc in January 2010. A total of HK$50,000 was raised to support the Chest’s social welfare member agencies which provide services for the mentally and multiple handicapped.

We supported the Golf for All Fun Day which was organised by the Hong Kong Blind Sports Association in September 2009.The event was held at Hong Kong International Airport’s (HKIA) SkyCity Nine Eagles Golf Course to raise funds for the visually impaired and promote an inclusive society. Three AA staff together with a blind golfer formed a team to represent HKIA in the games.

In September 2009, AA staff participated in the Community Chest's Dress Special Day. All donations raised have been used to support social welfare services in Hong Kong.

In April 2009, our sports teams took part in Walk up Jardine House to raise funds for programmes promoting mental health among youth in Hong Kong. On the same day we also supported the MTR Hong Kong Race Walking Competition, raising money that will go toward supporting work on disease prevention and health education.

AA colleagues, together with their families, joined the annual Community Chest New Territories Walk in February 2009 and raised funds for family and child welfare services.

Participating in the Ngong Ping Charity Running Challenge in November 2008, our sports teams ran up 200-plus stairs to the Big Buddha and earned the Fund-raising Award.
