Over the years HKIA has supported and organised a wide range of activities for the betterment of the community.

The AA joined hands with Hong Kong Neighbourhood Advice Action Council - Tung Chung Integrated Services (NAAC) to run a "Toys and Books Drive" from November 2010 to January 2011. The AA colleagues donated over 40 large boxes of gifts, which were given to less well-off families or placed at the "Children's Corner" at the NAAC centre for children's enjoyment.

We sponsored three spring receptions in February and March 2010, entertaining more than 2,100 elderly residents in Tung Chung and Tuen Mun.

In collaboration with the Tung Chung Safe and Healthy City, the Island District Office of the Home Affairs Department and the Community Investment and Inclusion Fund, we organised a drawing and colouring competition that attracted more than 1,300 entries from local schools and communities. Some of the entries were turned into mosaics to decorate the wall of a pedestrian tunnel in Tung Chung. We also funded the building of 14 show boxes on seven rain shelters along Man Tung Road in Tung Chung.

We have been working with the Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council and Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Tung Chung Integrated Services to organise a number of activities to provide care for senior citizens in the district. In February 2009, we sponsored a spring dinner for 380 elderly citizens living in Tung Chung. The evening was spiced up with a lucky draw, dancing and musical performances.

In January 2009, we partnered the Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council to collect money and non-perishable food for the council's food bank, which serves needy families in Tung Chung.

In November 2008 we celebrated Tuen Mun Senior Citizens' Day with 1,700 elderly people living in the district by hosting a poon choi feast and singing performance.
